The 2nd “Understanding China” Conference held in Beijing

    CYOL Beijing, PM5:00 November 1 The 2nd “Understanding China” Conference was held in Beijing at 5 p.m. today. Zhang Gaoli, Vice Premier of the State Council and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, saying that China is an integral member of the global village, where both need to understand each other.

    Through such exchange and information transfer, China's voice can be better communicated to the world. Says Zhang. "I believe that is essential for the world's knowledge and understanding of China, and vice versa. On behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all guests."

    Over 40 former dignitaries, strategists and business leaders from around the world were present at the Conference.
