Dr. Zhou Qi, Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Gave A Keynote Presentation At the CIIDS-Sponsored Seminar On Genetic Engineering and Public Health

    Chairman Zheng Bijian hosted a seminar on Genetic Engineering and Public Health at CIIDS on September 30th, 2017. Dr. Zhou Qi, fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a keynote presentation on To Build China Into a Major Power of Life Sciences and Technologies: Promoting the Development of Stem Cell Therapy and Other Cutting Edge Technologies. The presentation touched upon the current state, challenges, objectives and prospects of China's stem cell research as well as the significance of developing stem cell technologies for building China into a major power of life sciences and technologies.

    Former Deputy Director of General Administration of Press and Publication Mr. Wu Shulin, former Director General of Energy Research Institute, National Development and Reform Commission Mr. Zhou Dadi, Vice President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Ms. Wang Yanfen, Prof. Hu Baoyang from Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Wang Boyong participated in the seminar.
